Airlie Koo started her career as a contract musician with the Melbourne, Tasmanian and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras and had toured every Australian city as a classical orchestral musician by the age of 20.
Her music contracting career began when asked to step in for classical crossover supergroup ‘BOND’ for an appearance on Dancing with the Stars Australia. This chance opportunity led to Airlie assembling strings for many Australian TV shows at the time and eventually becoming a full time musical contractor specialising in assembling bands and strings for touring artists, TV appearances, studio recordings and large scale events.
Highlights include contracting musicians for tours for Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart and Ronan Keating and performing for sporting events like the 2026 AFL Grand Final with Kylie Minogue. Airlie has also performed on TV shows including the ARIAS, TV Week Logie Awards and with artists including Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Nick Cave, SWIM, Bonobo, James Blunt, Westlife & Guy Sebastian.
